Callinan Sports & Fitness Center

The Callinan Sports and Fitness Center will open at full capacity on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. 


Located at 5405 Snyder Lane next to the Community Center and Spreckels Auditorium, the Callinan Sports and Fitness Center offers over 4,600 sq. ft. of space to meet your health and fitness needs. Features include:

Cardio Center – equipped with elliptical machines, treadmills, stair climbers, recumbent and upright bicycles. Many machines include personal televisions and web access while three additional 60” flat screens are available for communal use. And yes, we have Wi-Fi!

Free Weight Room – Equipped with over 3,000 lbs. of Olympic style barbells, dumbbells, a Smith machine and a variety of work benches. A great place for members 14 and older to work on their form and increase strength!

Zia Fitness, LLC, of Torrance, California, offers self-defense, grappling, and functional fitness classes for kids and adults. Our founder has been a self-defense instructor at USC for 30 years, and he created a safe space where families and adults could work out with their children.

We are friendly to and protective of the women and children who come to Zia Fitness. We take pride in being a safe environment where moms and daughters can exercise in safety. Police officers may also use our facilities, and we have a special room where firearms may be checked and securely stored.

Zia Fitness is a small, private gym where all members are vetted before gaining access. Our manageable space encourages comfort, so you won’t have to worry about feeling overwhelmed in a large facility. We’ve made Zia Fitness a home for people who cherish their privacy.
